In 1972, he made his first TV show appearance in the wrestling show, WWF All-Star Wrestling.
Personal Trainer
Vince got into weightlifting at the age of 14 and has remained very committed to his strength training regime even in his advancing years. Over the years, he has trained with various wrestling superstars and in his interview with Muscle and Fitness, he even revealed that he managed to overcome Mark Henry (who was billed as world’s strongest man). Henry confirmed the fact in a separate interview.
He usually works in the gym for 4 days a week. However, it can change if he has a busy schedule. He trains each body part only once in a week. However, he works on his abs twice in a week and trains his calves every third day. For individual body parts, he alternates between heavy and not so heavy days in the gym. His each workout session usually has more than a dozen exercises. You can find his overall workout plan here.
When it comes to diet, he is conscious that it is the fuel that will keep his body going. So, he tries to eat protein-heavy meals. But he also believes that his success lies in how he handles his cheat meals. Vince makes sure that he indulges in his cravings in his single cheat meal instead of having it in small quantities almost every day. When he is having carbs, he makes sure that he eats as much as he can handle. He almost force-feeds himself.

Vince McMahon Facts
- In his early life, he had to battle dyslexia, which he eventually managed to overcome.
- After he met his father, Vincent J. McMahon, at the age of 12, he started accompanying him on trips to Madison Square Garden and other wrestling venues as his father was a promoter of the Capitol Wrestling Corporation.
- At an early age, he became interested in wrestling but his father dissuaded him as he felt it wasn’t right for promoters to appear on the show and that they should stay apart from wrestlers.
- After graduating from the university, he started working as a traveling salesman. However, he decided to quit the job because of his less than successful results.
- It is widely reported that he was instrumental in getting his father to rename his wrestling promotion as World Wide Wrestling Federation (WWF) in 1980.
- When he told his father that he wanted to work in a managerial role in his World Wide Wrestling Federation promotion, he was less than impressed. So, he began, in 1969, by being the in-ring announcer for the WWWF’s All-Star Wrestling.
- In 1971, he was eventually given permission to assume promotion work in a small territory in Maine, where he got an opportunity to promote his first card.
- When he gained control of WWF in 1982 from his ailing father, the wrestling promotions were bound to their territories and followed a practice of not invading others’ promotion territory. Vince decided to break the tradition.
- In 1979, Vince and his wife Linda purchased the multi-purpose Cape Cod Coliseum. along with Cape Cod Buccaneers of the Atlantic Coast Hockey League.
- In 2000, he launched the XFL, a professional American football league. The league officially started in February 2001. However, this venture didn’t prove to be profitable and coupled with low TV ratings, led to the end of the league after one season.
- In 1983, he signed up Hulk Hogan for WWF and started his promotions rapidly. Hogan had been previously dismissed by Vince’s father as nothing more than “flavor of the month.”
- In 2011, he was formally included in the Wrestling Hall of Fame.
- He holds the distinction of being the first WWE personality to have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He was awarded his star in March 2008 and was placed next to Kermit the Frog’s star.
- His trademark strut that features him swinging his arms extravagantly and bobbing his head sideways in a cocky manner was inspired from his favorite childhood wrestler Dr. Jerry Graham.
- In 2008, Vince and his family donated around $8 million in grants to the Sacred Heart University, Fishburne Military School, and East Carolina University.
- Rita Chatterton (aka Rita Marie), who is known as a first female referee in WWF had accused McMahon of sexual harassment. In her 1992 radio interview, she claimed that he had asked her to perform oral s*x in a limousine but when she refused he raped her in July 1986.
- In February 2006, a worker at a Boca Raton, Florida tanning bar accused him of sexual harassment. However, in March, it was revealed that no charges would be filed against him as nothing was discovered in the investigation.
